About Minibus Hire
What size minibus do I need?
How much does it cost to hire a minibus?
The cost of minibus hire can depend on various things including:
- The size of minibus required
- How far you plan to travel
- How long you need the minibus for
- Whether you require a driver
- Date of travel
- The address you will be collected from
- Waiting time
- Number of additional stops
Short local trips are normally less expensive than longer distance journeys, and hiring a minibus for a few hours will typically be less than hiring one for a full day. Different journeys can also attract different prices too, for example minibus airport transfers will attract different prices to local trips, and one-way journeys attract different prices to return trips and so on. Trips with several pickups/drop-offs or which include waiting time will also attract different prices to journeys with just a single pickup or drop-off.
For a personalised written quote, minibus operators will normally need the following information before being able to provide a quote:
- Address to collect from
- Destination(s)
- Date of travel
- Time of collection
- Number of passengers
- (where applicable) approximate time of return
Quotes should specify whether things like parking charges, fuel, waiting time or road/taxi charges are included or not, so always check what’s included and if there are any other additional costs before going ahead with any bookings.
